Revisión: Zapatillas Altra One 2.5

Review: Altra One 2.5 Shoes

Debo admitir que nuestras reseñas de zapatillas para correr han sido un poco puntuales. Con un par de excepciones, nos hemos centrado casi exclusivamente en Caída altra cero zapatos para correr. Para ser claros, esto no tiene nada que ver con un sesgo intrínseco; Nunca hemos vendido anuncios a Altra y no tenemos ningún interés financiero en la empresa. Lo que sucedió fue que encontré un espíritu de diseño que simplemente hizo clic en mí. En mi primera reseña del Altra Instinct , encontré la "combinación perfecta entre estilos de calzado descalzo y tradicional" y lo llamé "probablemente el mejor zapato que he usado". Desde entonces, mi amor por Altra no ha hecho más que crecer.

Para mí, la magia de los zapatos está en su propio espíritu de diseño. Los temas de "gota cero" y "forma de pie" de sus zapatos no son sólo jerga de marketing. Para mí, han cambiado las reglas del juego. Como anécdota, mi forma y velocidad de carrera han mejorado, mi tiempo de recuperación es menor y mi incidencia de lesiones ha disminuido. Esta es mi experiencia durante los cuatro años que llevo corriendo con estos zapatos en comparación con los años anteriores. Ahora uso zapatos zero drop todo el tiempo, ya sea haciendo ejercicio o simplemente caminando. Cuando mis Altras llegan al final de su vida útil, a menudo se convierten en zapatos para caminar por un tiempo.

Se necesita algo de tiempo para hacer la transición a un zapato de caída cero, después de pasar toda una vida usando tacones altos. Me tomó muchos meses hacerlo en 2012. Desde entonces, he probado otros zapatos de vez en cuando, pero una vez que me acostumbré al zero drop, nunca pude tolerar nada más el tiempo suficiente para hacer una revisión real. . Me he convertido en un converso incondicional y bebo por completo la marca Altra de Kool-Aid. Desde 2013, mi producto básico ha sido el original. Zapato 3-Sum , que obtuvo cinco estrellas perfectas en ese momento y sigue siendo mi zapato favorito. Me encanta tanto que compré varios pares para guardarlos en reserva, desplegándolos lentamente mientras los destripo uno por uno. Lamentablemente, Altra ha descontinuado el 3-Sum (¡tráelos de vuelta, por favor!), pero todavía tiene muchos pares excelentes en su carcaj. Hoy me adentraré en su buque insignia para correr liviano, el Altra One. Ahora está en su tercera versión, llamada One 2.5.

Todavía amo mi Altra 3-Sum, pero el One 2.5 es una alternativa muy valiosa

El One original era una bestia muy diferente de la versión actual, pero el One 2 de la generación anterior y el One 2.5 actual definitivamente son una pieza. He analizado un par de muestras de cada uno, y por "recorrido" me refiero a que básicamente he usado toda la suela. Curiosamente, el One 2 y el One 2.5 solo tienen suelas en unos pequeños parches debajo del dedo gordo y en la parte exterior del talón. El resto permanece descubierto, lo que significa que golpeas la cómoda entresuela. Esto lo convierte en un calzado muy cómodo y muy liviano, aunque un poco más sensible al uso que sus básicos de entrenamiento como el Instinct y el Intuition. Aún así, me encontré entrenando mucho con estos zapatos. Eran increíblemente cómodos y funcionan de manera brillante incluso sin calcetines. Una característica que me encanta especialmente es el cordón fuera del eje. En lugar de seguir la línea de los tarsos y metatarsos, los cordones están en un ligero ángulo sesgado. Para mí esto significó una comodidad significativamente mayor, especialmente al usar cordones elásticos. El zapato todavía presenta la puntera "en forma de pie" (léase: ancha) característica de Altra, aunque tiene una estética de diseño que lo ayuda a parecer un poco más tradicional (los primeros zapatos Altra fueron criticados por verse un poco extraños en la puntera).

Si bien no es la perfección sublime que encontré en el zapato 3-Sum, el Altra One 2 y One 2.5 están muy cerca del segundo lugar. En el triste (¡¡trágico!!!) caso de que Altra no reviva su plataforma 3-Sum, me contentaría con ejecutar estos bebés una vez que se agote mi reserva de 3-Sums. Me ha alentado enormemente ver que a Altra le ha ido tan bien durante los últimos cuatro años. Una vez más, ni TriRig ni yo tenemos ningún interés financiero en la empresa, es simplemente una de esas marcas mágicas que amamos por completo. Mejoran mi vida como corredor y triatlón, y quiero que sigan fabricando sus excelentes productos.
