Saddle Hydration: TriRig's FULL Lineup!

We often get questions about our saddle hydration lineup, and which products might be best for you among our various Beta carriers and Kappa cage options, as well as our brand new bottles!

At TriRig, this is an area we’ve thought about quite a bit, and we have a whole series of products designed specifically to address the problem. We have cages, rear mounts, and now we even have these fantastic bottles in a few different colors and capacities.

But the way we tend to think about these things is from the highest possible altitude. We ask what is the universe of needs that folks have, and then what is the most elegant and efficient way to meet those needs? As we apply that rubric to the question at hand, we might say that the need is to have ready access to additional bottles behind the saddle, in a way that is both ergonomic and also aerodynamic. We want to empower riders to put one, two, or even three bottles behind the saddle, in a variety of positions and configurations, and we want to make sure those bottles don’t ever come out of their cages until the rider pulls them out.

Our most baseline solution to those issues can be found here in our Kappa cages. These are the industry’s only full-wrap carbon cages with thick walls and no cutouts. They are the strongest cages on the market, bar none, and they simply do the job you want them to do. They also have a small bit of design here – these slotted cutouts are meant to allow you to zip-tie the cages directly to a saddle if that’s all you happen to need. This was a very popular method of cage attachment a few years ago, before we started to see so many double and triple bottle setups. And it can make the bottle a little trickier to get to, but in terms of simplicity, elegance, and especially light weight, there’s really no better solution out there. Just zip tie the cage right to your rails, and you’re ready to go.

However, we know that’s a pretty fringe use case. Most folks want a bottle to be a bit higher, angled a bit farther away from horizon, and with the ability to mount multiple bottles if desired. That’s why we created our Beta series. Have a look at the video above for a full overview of these versatile and elegant mounts.
